Silent Tears by artist Taraneh Hemami
Saw this amazing 2011 work by exiled Iranian artist Taraneh Hemami on the top floor of the V&A. Each tear has Arabic letters flowing down it, but a layer on wax obscures their meaning, so they never form words. It's made from ceramic, wax, paint and paper.
