Maruko?

This is my first entry. How do you do? :)

Actually, my name is not Maruko. The photo above shows the real Maruko (well, a stuffed toy version). She is a manga-loving 3rd grader who sometimes spouts phrases one might expect to hear from an adult. The truth is, I am horrible at coming up with usernames. My real name is Alice and my nickname is Apple. Naturally, the first thing I did was to try typing in those names as is, but those names have already been taken. Then I tried all the possible derivatives/extensions for the two names that I could think of to create a username, but I kept getting the message "Please enter your name" from the website. In the end, because I happened to see a picture of Maruko, I just borrowed her name as my username. I even tried to change my username after signup was complete, but it didn't work. Hahaha... I'll try again someday...

PS: Maruko's creator is Momoko Sakura. Maruko is from the manga (and anime) "Chibi Maruko-chan".
