Speechless

A couple of months ago someone subscribed to my journal here on blip and I vaguely recognized his name. I asked my husband and he confirmed it was one of his former colleagues (and FB friends) who lives not far from us. We started commenting on each others pictures and friend-ed each other on FB. I loved his pictures and his humorous and sarcastic comments and notes. Since he was living in our area, it was fun to see where he and his wife (also a blipper) had been that day and to see if I could recognize some of those places. 

Today we received the sad news that he has passed away. We knew he had cancer, but with treatments they managed to keep it under control for a long time. 
I have never met him in real life, but the news hit me hard. Weird how the internet works sometimes. You meet new people and get a little "peek" in their lives. You learn their struggles and what they like to do. 
Ann, I hope I can send you some rays of that sunshine to brighten up these dark days. Lee, I'm sorry we've never had a chance to meet. I'll always think of you when I see a duck (especially when it walks out of an airplane at Hooks airport).
