New wall art...

...at the office.

This is a panel from the hut that provided shelter for those who kept the vigil for a Scottish Parliament at Calton Hill, Edinburgh. The vigil began on the eve of the fourth Conservative General Election victory in 1992 and ended when Scotland voted to reinstate the Parliament on the 11th of September 1997.

At the end of the vigil the hut was offered to the National Museum of Scotland but disappointingly they declined to preserve this particular artefact from Scotland's journey.

It saw out it's days on a city farm until the weather finally took it's toll. Fortunately this panel was saved and it now greets me every morning as I take the stairs to our floor.
