The amazing Anisakan Waterfalls

After wandering around the market this morning unsuccessfully looking for a hoodie for Fred we take two motorbike taxis and head to the Anisakan Waterfalls in the early afternoon.

We are dropped off and walk about 25 mins steeply downhill through beautiful scenery to reach the falls which are just stunning.  There are loads of little pools around the bottom and, although its too cold for us, there are a few locals taking a dip and having a wash.  We find a sunny spot and spend a few hours there before the long, steep uphill hike back to the carpark.  We then have to walk another 45 mins or so to reach the main road where we hail a trishaw to take us back to town.

We decide we need to head out earlier for dinner so a quick shower and out again.  We head to a place called Seezers Bistro which we found on trip advisor and, although empty, its the best food we've had for a while in Myanmar.  We buy a bottle of grape wine this evening and head back for cards and wine.  The wine doesn't taste like the wine we have at home but its nice to have some and it goes down well.  Everything here closes so early and its actually pretty cold at night so we're happy to spend the evening in the hotel.
