New toy

bought in Ledbury yesterday. I don't sail much these days, so will have to try it out from the top of a hill, with suitable correction for height of observer's eye above sea level. Not all the tables  go up to 1,394 ft. The last time I attempted a noon sight we'd sailed on another four miles by the time I worked the magic numbers - and found I was within five miles of the GPS position at the time. So I might have been only a mile out, if only we'd been sailing in the direction of error. 10/10 cloud at noon today: lucky I know where I live.
