Vermont Covered Bridge

There are 104 covered bridges in Vermont! They were built in the days of horse and buggy and were covered to prevent from weather damage and also served as a place of refuge for people during bad weather! This is The Silk Road Bridge built in 1840 in southern Vermont! I photographed quite a few today but the weather didn't cooperate! (I think we brought Oregon rain with us!)
