Dovedale

Braithwaite dawned cloudy, but the forecast for Patterdale looked reasonable, so we headed to Brotherswater for the day. Not a cloud in the sky the whole day! After walking along the shores of Brotherswater, we continued into Dovedale, and came upon this lovely barn. But the low angle of the winter sun meant the barn was in total shade, whilst the whole of the background was in bright sun. This is a three-shot HDR, processed in Photomatix, then turned B&W using Silver efex pro.
