Mistle Thrush?

I really wish I knew more about birds. I think this might be a Mistle Thrush but I'm not really sure. It looked quite big and was very bright and bold. It had an unusual way of moving that made me think it was not an ordinary thrush. Please correct me if I'm wrong. 

I spotted it as I was charging across campus from one meeting to another. My days are getting busier as I get more to do. It is nice to have the chance to get a bit of daylight as I move from building to building. Lunchtime was taken up with a meeting with some students - the only time we could get them all together.
