Herb Paris
Been out visiting prospective projects today in N.lancs. It just so happened that I was near to Gaitbarrows NNR at lunchtime and a short stroll with butty box in hand found me at the site of the Lady Slipper Orchid. They are later than last year and only a few blooms are out so far. By weekend there should be a good show. In the bright sun they a difficult to photograph because the yellow colour burns out some of the detail. I've blipped slipper orchid before so I've put up Herb Paris which is a lovely spring woodland plant. I will be up here on Sat weather permitting to go on an orchid fest with tripod in hand.
