Today was really busy, so I head down to Inverleith Pond. There were schoolchildren do some research. I also notice a couple on the boardwalk in the wet garden with an SLR and binoculars. I head down there and wonder what they are looking at.

It was a Water Rail.

I just about managed to get this picture of it heading back in to the vegetation. The picture is a bit noisy as it was quite overcast and the little camera struggles. Unfortunately, I couldn't hang around to see if it would make another appearance.
