Slug grub!

Yep they've arrived! After weeks of worrying about their eventual return from a bare earth the hostas have suddenly shot up and are looking at their luxuriant best.

So while we'll have the pleasure of two week of hosta blue loveliness the slugs will now have three months of great eating. The battle has commenced.

What is it with slugs? I've never seen them so much as nibble on the edge of a leaf in the botanic gardens but here they bring forks and knives and all there family and have metaphorical night time bun fights.

That aside ,its been a busy but satisfying day.

Now where did we stash those slug pellets?
