On/Off

Eskom, our (only) electricity provider has a new word for incompetence. They call it Load Shedding. This means that the country suffers power outages at various times of the day or night. All because they had no forward planning to meet the needs of a growing country. Their salaries, however.....oh never mind. I'd rather not begin my day in this fashion.

Last nights photographic function was successful! Despite the load shedding we were able to unplug all our electronic equipment before 8pm. Our brilliant guest speaker, Andrew Aveley (Google him), inspired us with his enthusiasm and passion for photography. Wishing you Godspeed Andrew, in the big city.

The evening went into the wee hours with snacks and drinks by candlelight.
