Surfest

It's on again here.  The surf competition at Merewether started on the weekend and will conclude on 22 February.  You can pretty well be guaranteed to see some good surfers just about at any time of the day. Nobbys and Newcastle beaches are still closed but Merewether was open when I dropped by on my way home from work.  Perhaps the sharks are not interested in Surfest.  It was confirmed also by an expert that the sighting off the harbour was most probably not a shark and possibly a sun fish.  They are good to have as they are only interested in the jellies.

My Boss left today for Colorado.  He was heard to ask IT to ensure his phone had global warming!
