The Calderstones

Calderstones Park is named after this group of stones which have been a local landmark in Liverpool since the 16th century. Outside until 1954, they were moved inside this greenhouse in 1964 to protect them from pollution. Originally, they probably formed part of a burial chamber showing the presence of a community here 5000 years ago
