Irises and pansies

Last autumn I planted a tub with layers of bulbs and pansies on the top courtesy of Monty Don and Gardener's World on TV. The first bulbs have emerged - miniature irises which will be followed by daffodils and tulips (I hope).
They are not blue as in the photo but a lovely deep purple, sadly I don't have the editing skills to make them look more natural. It's strange that I hadn't noticed how many insect holes were in the pansy leaves until I looked at the photos!
