Roadworks

I know, roads need to be repaired, but it is always still a pain for the motorist. This is a junction I travel through every day - which is currently single lane only, long delays due to the roadworks. Today I just happened to be first in the queue, so given I was going to be waiting for a while, I whipped the camera out...

But it did make me think - roadworks are such a part of modern culture. Almost every year a significant part of my journey is affected by road works, and I only travel 4000 miles a year at the moment! (Soon to significantly increase when I start my new job!).
