Such a dreary Wednesday!
'Urrrgggh!' is how I describe today.
It seemed quite promising first thing and I was earlier than usual getting to McDonalds for my first cuppa of the day. I left soon after though as I was struggling to hear myself think. A man was yelling at top volume sweet everythings down the phone to the latest girlfriend. He wasn't a spring chicken and I am guessing he wasn't quite the full shilling either! I could see a few nearby people were struggling to concentrate on their breakfast muffins.
Up at the council house, an impatient woman from another section was moaning by the side door as she had just driven 30 miles to get to work and was desperate for the loo! She hopped from foot to foot while we waited and I must admit I made more slurping noises than strictly necessary as I finished my tea. She nearly flattened Andy from Stirling in her haste to get in when he eventually unlocked the door.
It was a quiet but busy day when I was logged in. Lots of people were in and out for meetings and I felt like I was at a train station with all the comings and goings.
At lunchtime I wandered out to Robert Dyas for a bag of mealworms and got myself a ham salad baguette from the Fat Sandwich shop on the way back to work for a short afternoon.
By the time I was home and had phoned mom, it was even darker and drearier outside and the garden was depressingly empty. I ended up with a stiff back after standing in the kitchen waiting for something to appear! The blackbird was the best I could manage today making me wish I'd made more of an effort in Solihull earlier.
