The cathedral on the hill.
Into town this evening, I decided a night shot would be appropriate for today's blip. Drawing into the car park Guildford Cathedral was on the opposite hill, Stag Hill - my blip! Building started on the Art Deco / Gothic cathedral in 1936 but was halted during WW2. To complete the cathedral after the war 200,000 people, adults and school children, bought bricks, so it was eventually finished in 1954. Having been built on a hill, the guilded angel can be seen for miles, it is as beautiful statue weighing nearly a ton and positioned so that it can move with the wind.
Note one of the brick givers was a fellow blipper - Igor.
