Como Villa Estate Winery

Back Blip from my holiday down south

After we left Te Anau we headed for Alexandra to have lunch and visit this amazing winery called in Como Villa Estate winery which a boutique vineyard. It was most interesting and you are really taken back in time.

Specialising in high quality wines situated 3kms from Alexandra on Earnscleugh Road. The property has unique historical value having had a vineyard before the turn of the century.

Their wine tasting venue is a restored house built in 1865. Como Villa is a museum as well and is full of old artefacts found on the property or purchased to suit real old times. They specialise in Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and oaked Rosé wines and they are very good.. you can see John putting some bottles in the boot of the car bottom left.
