Engineered end of the river..
This is the part of the Cedar River that was engineered to end at Lake Washington.
As you can see there is very minor flooding due to current rainfall.
The stick by the ducks measures flood stage.
At the end of the river you can see where a sand bank has been created just by river flow. Many different kinds of birds now rest in this area.
I liked the looks of the ducks. They seemed not to know what to do with all that water going by.
