Lunch!

My last shot of the day was my lucky one - a white heron, eyeing up his lunch, a nice fat, sandy, eel lying on the mud.
 
We spent some time watching him devouring this poor eel who squirmed for ages - talk about a slow death!
 
A beautiful calm and sunny day, lovely to be at the estuary watching the birds as the tide went out. Another lovely day with daughter 'flying', groceries, lunch and taking photos, good fun.
