Crazy day
What a day! It was supposed to start with an interview about autonomous cars for Sky News. They sent a satellite car to my home for the purpose, but the technology went on the blink, and we missed our intended 9.30 slot. Much discussion ensued between the cameraman/technician and the boffins back at at base. Finally they tried switching everything off, then on again, and hey presto! So the relayed-by-satellite interview finally took place at around 10.15. Technology eh? Ironic, given the subject matter.
Then later my daughter rang to say they had been shut down at work by a major power failure, so was heading home early. Hubby was on the way back from a meeting in town too. We all arrived home together.
That was late this afternoon, when the deadlock in the front door jammed, refusing to undo. After much wiggling of key, we finally admitted defeat and called a locksmith. After considerable effort, he too was baffled and had to drill out the malfunctioning lock and replace it with a new one.
A new day please!
