Over winter break I worked most of the time and that’s when I got to really know my co-workers. The one guy that works as a custodian out at the gas station came back to subway with this bag of bread and he began to tell the story behind this bread. It was clear right when I looked at the bread that it was bad, you could even tell through the plastic bag it was put in. Right away I asked him why he had moldy bread and he threw a peanut butter sandwich down on the table. I was absolutely disgusted thinking that he ate this bread, but then he told me that somebody went into the gas station and bought this clearly moldy bread. The people then made a peanut butter sandwich out of this green bread; still without noticing the green/grey color to it they put this nasty sandwich up to their face and took a bite out of it. I guess after they took a bite out of it they decided it was no good and brought it back. Why anyone even sold this bread is beyond me, and how this person didn’t notice the mold that was all over it will be a mystery. They brought the sandwich and the bread back to us, which really wasn’t necessary, but it makes a really gross story in the end.
