American Snout
I joined a couple of people on a trip to Anza-Borrego State Park to look for and photograph butterflies. Shooting butterflies is a challenge since the butterflies are busy looking for mates as they complete their life cycles.
We were a bit early for the flowers and the butterflies. We did see a handful of different butterfly species and were able to photograph a few.
The American Snout was an unexpected find since they are not usually found in this area. The more experienced folks speculated that the American Snout was blown here.
