In a couple of previous visits to Blake's Lock, I've spotted this boat and thought it would make a good Derelict Thursday subject. Because of its position, though - moored among the trees on an island - I found it hard to get a good shot that would show it off (and those days weren't Thursdays, anyway ;).
Today I went back armed with my 600mm mirror lens and tripod. I hadn't planned the ducks, but they swam into the shot and I decided to include them.
I'm sure when I saw the boat before, it was "more sunk", so maybe someone still has hopes of making it usable again. Perhaps that's why they still have it tethered to its moorings - though it just could be concern that if they let it loose to sink and it becomes a hazard to other boats, they could be liable.
This week's challenge is hosted by Himself and freespiral. All entries can be found under the tag DerelictThursday.
