Bedtime reading

My son gave me this book at Christmas and I have only just started it this week. I am finding it fascinating reading. Not least because of my interest in space travel in general , nor because in another life I would have wanted to be an astronaut , but because it gives great insight into what these guys put themselves through over maybe thirty years, and then possibly never ever get into space.
Meant to put in a little quote but can't find it. Another time perhaps.
