Summery Winter

Contrasting ploughed and sewn fields caught my attention from the hill I was walking up. Stunning day. Glad the sun was shining as our power went off at 9am for local tree felling. It was such a bright sunny day that it didn't matter. Archie had his first sandwich for lunch, what a thing to do the day before you turn 1! The lack of power was quite a surprise, I couldn't do the following (most disappointing first)
No nespresso machine
No oven / microwave to heat a's food
No radio
No kettle to make alternative coffee
No heating
No phone charging
No internet
No TV

Oh and of course
No washing machine
No dishwasher
No iron
No hoover.....

Spent the morning at a kind friends house and then went for a long walk this afternoon. Power restored along with the background hum drum of electrical appliances.

Archie is 1 tomorrow, what a milestone!
