The icicle( one of many)

Today was spent clearing snow off the roof and dealing with the dangerous icicles hanging from the second floor to the first floor windows.The icicles were enormous, at least 75 pounds for the biggest. T's brother in law did a full day of labor, shoveling a path to get to the front of the house, rigging up old doors to protect the windows from the flying chunks of ice and shoveling almost all of the roof. If you saw yesterday's blip, you know he took care of the back of the house and a real pesky ice dam leak we had. Today prevented potential nightmares. I was just an assistant and I'm exhausted!

The news now is that the storm coming in on Saturday afternoon into Sunday will be a roaring blizzard with a foot/30cm or more of new snow to add to the mountains we have now surrounding the house, the town,the roads and fraying more tempers.
