Opening Ceremony

It was the opening ceremony to the Cricket World Cup last night. We went over to have a look for a short time. Luckily the wind died down and it become a warm evening. I did the collage today and because of the event I wanted to be part of journal.

There have been mix reviews on the opening ceremony, from what we saw, we were impressed. Everyone was happy and were enjoying the event. Never seen so many people in Hagley Park before.

Up date on the Giraffes...  because of my internet keeping going down yesterday I forgot to put up about the auction which was on Wednesday night at the Casino. They were happy with the results as the 49 Giraffes fetched $475,650. No word on who got what or where they went to. I did read in the newspaper that one went for about $11.750 but didn't say which one. 75% of the net proceeds will be shared between chosen charities.
