Dursley Market Hall
Always looking for something to blip, my eyes caught the light pouring through the colonnades of the market hall. I then noticed the effigy which is believed to be Queen Anne.
Apparently, the tower and steeple of St James had collapsed in 1699 leaving the parish no option but to petition the king for financial support.
Fortunately, Queen Anne provided a grant of £500 so, to show their gratitude, her image was was placed on the eastern side of the market hall.
