Blowin' In The Wind

Well, Spring must be on the way - I spent the morning cleaning the kitchen, cloakroom and our bathroom.

Saving the oven cleaning for another day though!

After lunch we went for our walk - ahead of the forecast rain.

Along the way I spotted a few feathers caught in the grass and they were flapping around in the wind (which was quite strong). I got the camera right down to the ground and switched the little pop up flash on. The longish exposure has given me a nice bit of motion blur and the burst of flash has frozen the movement as well.

A couple of metres away from this was a much larger pile feathers as well a few bones - the last earthly remains of a pigeon.
