The Year of the Ram - or Goat ?

Albert Square is bedecked with festive red paper (or are they plastic) lanterns at the moment, awaiting the chinese new year celebrations next week. There are also plenty of posters and banners advertising the events which herald the year of the Ram.

Curiously, in Stoke yesterday, there were also lots of posters - but down there they will be celebrating the year of the Goat !

So Manchester associates itself with the Ram, whilst Stoke thinks it is the Goat. That may say a lot about the difference between the two places !
