The Golden Hind

A day out with “the girls” in London. We met up at London Bridge station to continue the visit we started last year. This time we visited the Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret which was part of the old St Thomas Hospital and is close by the Shard, a must see for a bunch of retired nurses!!

Then on to Borough Market which we have visited before, so a quick look round before lunch at a fish restaurant. We visited Southwark Cathedral, which is just behind the market and were surprised to see the Golden Hind sitting in St Mary Overie’s Dock, at the rear of the Cathedral. London is so amazing with something new (old) round every corner.

Plenty of news to share with the girls about birthday celebrations, pending move and the first viewing of our present house today!!
