Disappointed

I met up with my daughter and daughter- in-law for lunch today and we had a short walk around the heritage park,well wrapped up against the chilly wind.  There was lots of birdlife on the pond today, as there is most days I suppose, but I'm not there to see it.  These two had come out of the water towards me as they may have thought I had food for them.  They headed off, it seemed beak in the air,  when they knew I had none. 
I have no idea what the swan in the background is doing.  It seems to have lost its head, but I had forgotten to take my camera and had to use my phone, which does not have an option for "moving subjects"
