The look of love is in your skis

This is what a very happy five year old looks like after his first day on the mountain. He started out really well then did his first chair lift with me which he managed very elegantly. At the top he skied off and proceeded to go down the mountain...at speed...no turns....picking up speed....mummy now I opening up her own skis to try to catch him, straight-lining down the mountain screaming 'turn honey!' But to no avail. He reached the bottom without incident (thank the Lord') at which point my heart was nearly beating out of my chest and turned to me and said "mummy I tried to turn but my naughty skis would not do what I asked them!"

Needless to say I asked him to follow me down the mountain from now on like he does with his instructors at the snow some and we enjoyed the rest of our day without this Mummy having a coronary!
