Flowers and colds.

The kitchen is full of lovely flowers. Roses from the Mister which smell beautiful, and a small posy that we bought for B on her birthday. B has given both of us her cold which is proving annoying but I'm hoping that ibuprofen will keep it in check. Well that and a toddy.

The flowers all came from our local independent florist, which I'm really happy about. Interflora rather memorably refused to deliver the Mister's last but one order, other than absent flowers the first we knew about it was when they emailed a credit note through saying sorry, they had overbooked themselves. A quick look on Twitter revealed that we weren't the only ones.... that year I was the happy recipient of a new set of interchangeable knitting needles for Mother's Day. Anyway, flowers are beautiful and not cheap and it's nice to keep the money in the local community.
