Queenstown Wharf

Queenstown is a great place. It's not too big, it has a fabulous lakeside situation and it has great hills and mountains around it. We spent the day without driving anywhere. We wandered around shops this morning and after lunch walked around the gardens which are on a promontory with lots of shady trees. I took a bunch of pictures as we walked including some of a shrk jet boat. This machine which is shark shaped and painted to increase the look, goes at high speed, it dives and then leaps out of the water as it surfaces. The site says it comes out of the water 5 metres. I didn't see that but maybe that's the capability rather than the everyday event. It looks pretty neat anyway.

This evening as we came out of a restaurant onto the wharf the clouds looked pretty remarkable. I'm not sure my blip does it justice but that sometimes happens.
