Idiocy on the hard shoulder.

I was caught up in the aftermath of the horrendous multiple crash on the M40. and just couldn't believe the antics of some other drivers. They seemed to think travelling along the hard shoulder rather than inching along like the rest of us was acceptable behaviour. Other people were walking along the hard shoulder having a smoke - hadn't there been enough fatalities?
