Shrove Sunday

In Finland the day is called laskiaissunnuntai and is generally celebrated by sledging. Following Shrove Tuesday is all about eating green pea soup and a pastry called laskiaispulla (sweet bread filled with whipped cream and jam or almond paste). 
Beautiful weather for going outside enjoy sunshine and Kantohanki (snow so hard you can walk on it without sinking in) for walking, skiing or sledding. 
My family went for cross country skiing, I made short walk with camera. Birds were singing, sunshine felt warm on skin. Mild frost. 
Lovely feeling. Hint of spring in the air.


Tried selective black and white. I think it works reasonably well with those long shadows.
