Saturday: Dijana And Friends

We are lucky enough to have made some very good friends here.  Dijana, on the right, has been absolutely amazing in all our time here.  Not only is she our regular cat-sitter (she of the quirky notes) but whenever we need something that is a bit of a linguistic challenge, she is there to help (such as recently finding us an excellent body shop to repair our scratched car - not only finding the place for us, but ferrying us back and forth, doing all the translating for us etc).

So, as it was her birthday last week, we offered to have a birthday party for her in our flat.  We provided the space and she provided the guests (about 20).  Between us, we provided the food and drink.  

In true Croatian style, it was an excellent party and we met some great new people.  The last guests left at around 0500 and K. did all the clearing up after that.  I had disappeared off to bed at 0200 as I had to do something on Sunday that meant I couldn't be too jaded (see next blip when I post it later......)

From left to right we have Valentina, Ivana (a psychologist), Maja (a vet who loved our boys and thought they were in excellent shape) and Dijana (a geologist).
