COLLECTING CLUSTER BOMBS TO PLAY BOCCIA

Grandma Kaming griefs over her grandson Sitai (12) that died in Desember 2013 together with his buddy Phota (13).

We travelled along the Ho Chi Minh road until we reached the small village Ban Na Dou Yai in Salavan, Laos.  There we met grandma, and two fathers.

Sitai and Phota had collected cluster bombs and had some already when they found the bomb that came to end their lives.

Happy to find this little "ball" they took it home to shocked parents. - You are not allowed to play with, it's danger!
The boys got disappointed and witout premission they took the treasure to get rid of it outside the village. Phota took his bike, Sitai took the bombie and hide it in his shirt and sat behind Phota. A third boy wanted to get on the bike too.

Sitai lost the cluster bomb. And his life.
Phota died before help arrived.
The third boy survived.

Grown ups bomb countries. Children pick the undetonated bombies up. 40 years after they have been dropped the war against civilians is still going on in peace time.
