Jesus Saves stone

This is a landmark on the road across the Dava Moor. From time to time it is defaced. The first I remember is when extra words were added and it read
Jesus saves with green shield Stamps
then
Jesus saves with Northern Rock
then during the referendum it went repeatedly from
Jesus votes Yes
to Jesus votes No.
Two local families have traditionally repainted it, one doing the white background, the other the words.
