I went off to try and photo the big swathes of golden crocus appearing on the St James roundabout : I couldn't get a good enough picture and chickened out of getting onto the centre grassed area where they are thickest. So this instead. The medieval church of St James houses one of the few puppet theatres in the country. The website tells me it's sold out for the coming half term production : good news.
