Now, as I see it......

Corbiere lighthouse

A beautiful day today, with sun shining and no wind. We had a wander round St Helier, and it was nice to see that the majority of shops stay closed on a Sunday so it had the feel of a Sunday in the UK 20 years ago. After that we had a drive round the island, stopping off wherever we saw somewhere interesting. Lots of potato fields and Jersey cows, and in the north of the island some spectacular cliffs and the 'Devils Hole', a collapsed sea-cave. My shot is of the Corbiere Lighthouse on the Southwest corner of the island; it was taken into the sun with a polarising filter so isn't perfect, but I rather liked the view and the contrasts, even if there is too much glare in places.

We think the weather might not be so good tomorrow so it may be back to St Helier for a bit of duty-free retail therapy.
