Visiting family

We drove to Sussex and had a very nice lunch with my Mum Lillo and partner Gerry, Mother finds it very hard to speak now but requested to play a game we played last time we visited which Zebedee invented where we go around the circle and everyone makes up a bit more of the story, we had some very far fetched story lines such as a disembodied toe who gets made whole again by an artist, a curtain who is fed up because the people whose house he is in are blind and never use him, he gets 3 wishes and one of those he uses to give them sight, unfortunately they don't like the look of him when they can see and try to get rid of him with dire consequences… another one about a sofa who becomes conscious and throws people off him and tries to escape but can't get out because he is too big… etc etc..  Mother really enjoyed all the story telling and joined in every turn with what she could, sometimes a word and sometimes up to 5 words which was great, it was nice to be able to do something together that she felt a part of.

Over lunch Gulliver asked Gerry what his wierdest arrest had been (Gerry was very high up in the Police) and he told us how one of his informants had called to say there was a man he didn't like in his club so Gerry went down and arrested James Earl Ray the man who shot Martin Luther King, in those days the Police could arrest people on suspicion, once back at the station his finger prints showed exactly who he was… so even though information states that he was arrested by the FBI at Heathrow he was in fact arrested by Gerry Edge first!
