Grandmother's Oil Lamp

This is what remains of my grandmother's oil lamp, a wedding present for her almost a hundred years ago. 

Although she died in the 1960s, I still have fond memories of her. She remembered redcoats coming to Glendale, Skye; and on her rail journey back home from munitions work in Glasgow, she saw the Iolaire leave Kyle on New Year's Eve 1918/19.
