A little glimpse of the sun...

A varied "long weekend" oop north - a trip to Newcastle for shopping, a visit to the old aunt, and a day out on Saturday. We met friends and had a coffee on the quayside and then visited Delaval Hall, a National Trust property that is still in the process of being renovated. We'll have to go back later in the year, when the gardens will also be looking good.
Home today - and the first sign of sun and blues skies all weekend as we travelled down the A19! There has been a bit of a sea fret all the time we've been in Tynemouth, so it has been extremely grey. Even this colour disappeared as we reached Yorkshire... hoping for a spot of sun tomorrow!

PS had to call back in to see Auntie Joyce on the way home - she was having trouble deleting programmes she'd recorded. No anguished phone calls yet - so I guess things are going OK...
