Rough and ready

This is the prototype for a string of rock hopper penguin bunting, I think it's going to work splendidly :) Just waiting to hear if the intended recipient likes it.

I've actually had a lovely day - the sun was shining and I went to Costco with one of my oldest friends (I love Costco - all those giant-sized packs of things). I did tell her to make sure I didn't leave with a blow-up kayak, a fireplace and 96 croissants. So easily done.

We then had a trip to our local garden centre for a bite to eat and a cup of tea.

Since I got home I've been trying out a few ideas for some more crochet bunting. As well as this fab penguin I did a cute teddy bear which will also work well I think. So a good day all round.
