Who needs the Alps?

We were up at Achnasheen for the weekend with friends. S has bruised her foot so couldn't walk.  She had a good day sightseeing at the Bealach na Ba while I went up the Munro, Maol Chean-dearg. The weather was glorious with lots of sun and a reasonable cover of snow on the east and north side of the hills. This is the view looking south west from near the summit. The slopes on the right are of the Corbett, An Ruadh-Stac. With views like this in Scotland, why go to the Alps?
